In Apostle, post editing is limited once content has been shared. You can still make changes to scheduled posts, but once a team member shares a post on their social media account, only they can edit it directly on the platform.
⚠️ Important: These rules apply to both personal accounts and business pages. Once the post is live, editing must happen on the respective social media platform.
Editing a post after it’s shared
When a brand ambassador shares a post via Apostle, the post is published on their personal or business account. After that, any edits (such as fixing a typo) must be made directly by that user on the platform itself.
For example, on LinkedIn, they can:
Go to their LinkedIn profile or business page
Find the post
Click the three dots in the top right corner
Select Edit post
Make the necessary changes
Click Save
⚠️ Important: On LinkedIn, edits can only be made to the text of the post. If you want to change the image, the post must be deleted and re-shared as a new post.
Editing scheduled posts in Apostle
If a post is still in the scheduled phase and has not yet been shared, you can make changes to it in Apostle:
Go to Post Overview
Open the post you want to edit
Update the text, image, or audience
Click Save to apply your changes
Your changes only apply to team members who have not yet shared the post. Team members who already shared it will keep their original version. If you add extra users to the post, only those newly added users will receive a notification.
⚠️ Important: If someone has already shared the post, your edits will not affect their version. They will need to update the post themselves on their own social media account.
Note: It is currently not possible to change the scheduled time of a post. If you need to adjust the timing, you’ll need to delete the scheduled post and create a copy.
