Sharing content is at the heart of the Apostle platform. As a user, you receive ready-to-share social media posts that you can publish to your personal and business pages with just a few clicks. Supported channels include LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and X (Twitter).
💡 Tip: You can also share posts through our mobile app or via WhatsApp if those integrations are enabled.
Note: At this time, only the text of a suggested post can be edited. Editing images and videos is not yet available but will be coming soon.
Sharing by email for personal accounts
When a post is suggested to you, you’ll receive an email notification letting you know a post is ready to share. Here's how to share:
Open the email containing the suggested post
Click Review and share post to review the post
Choose one of the following actions:
Post: Select a platform and publish the post right away
Edit: Adjust the text to match your personal tone of voice
Reject (Bin icon): Decline the suggested post
Schedule: Reschedule the post to a more suitable time
⚠️ Important: Sharing to personal Facebook and Instagram accounts via email is not supported. Please use our mobile app for those platforms.
Sharing by email for business pages
Suggested posts for business pages are also delivered via email. To share:
Open the email containing the suggested post
Click Review and share post to review the post
Choose one of the following actions:
Approve: Accept and schedule or publish the post
Edit: Adjust the text before posting
Reject (Bin icon): Decline the suggested post
Choose other time/date: Reschedule the post for a different date and time
⚠️ Important: Emails for business page posts are sent immediately, even if the post is scheduled for a future date. Always double-check the scheduled time before approving. Posts can be disapproved until the moment they are set to be published.
FAQs
Why is there a difference between sharing posts for personal pages and business pages?
Emails for personal accounts are sent at the moment a post is scheduled, so sharing by email is always an instant share. For business pages, emails are sent right when the admin schedules the post. This allows you to approve posts ahead of time, for example when you're on holiday and want content to keep publishing automatically.
What if I want to edit my image?
Currently, it’s not possible to edit images through the email sharing flow. However, the media files are included in the email. You can download and manually edit the image, then post it directly to your social media. Keep in mind this will not be registered as a share in Apostle.
I'm trying to reschedule but the dates are limited
Your admin can define the date range within which you're allowed to reschedule a post. If a post is time-sensitive, the rescheduling options may be limited or disabled.
Why can't I share to my personal Facebook or Instagram by email?
Due to platform restrictions, sharing to personal Facebook and Instagram accounts is not supported via email. You can use the Apostle mobile app to share to these personal channels.
Why am I getting reminders for my posts?
Reminders are sent automatically based on your team's settings. If you continue receiving reminders for a post you do not want to share, click Reject (Bin icon) in the email to notify your admin. If you take no action, the system will keep sending reminders.
Can I automatically approve business page posts?
Yes, you can enable the auto approve feature to skip the approval step and publish posts directly to your business pages. Auto approval is not available for personal accounts. Posts to personal accounts must always be shared manually by the user.
