Sharing posts to business pages via the mobile app

Learn how to review, edit, and approve suggested posts for your LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and X (Twitter) business pages.

The Apostle mobile app makes it easy to publish content to your organization’s business pages. When a post is scheduled for your business account, it appears in your inbox in the app. From there, you can approve, edit, or reject the content with just a few taps.

⚠️ Important: You cannot share content to business pages unless those pages are connected first. Follow our guide on how to connect your business accounts if you haven’t done this yet.


How to share posts to business pages

  1. Open the Apostle mobile app

  2. Go to your Inbox

  3. Tap the post you'd like to review, or swipe right to open the share options.

  4. Tap Edit if you want to adjust the text or media (if editing is enabled)

  5. Tap Approve to publish the post on the scheduled date and time set by your admin, or tap Schedule to select a different time.

Note: Posts for business pages are pre-assigned to a specific platform. You cannot choose where to publish them, your admin has already selected the destination.

⚠️ Important: You may receive a push notification for scheduled content even if the post is set for a future date. Always double-check the scheduled date and time before approving to ensure it aligns with your calendar.

Reject a post:

  • Tap thumbs down in the share screen, or swipe left in the inbox to reject the post

  • Provide feedback to let your admin know why you’re declining the content

  • The post will be removed from your inbox

Cancel a scheduled post

  • Go to the Planned section in the mobile app

  • Tap the post

  • Tap Cancel to remove the scheduled post

  • The post will be moved back to your inbox where you can approve it again later if you change your mind


Editing posts before approval

If your admin has allowed editing, you’ll be able to customize both the text and the image in the app. To edit:

  1. Tap the post

  2. Tap Edit

  3. Change the caption or replace the image

  4. Tap Save

  5. Approve or schedule the post as usual

💡 Tip: A small edit, like adding your personal tone or adjusting a detail, can help the post perform better and feel more authentic.


Platform behavior and scheduling

Posts for business pages include a platform icon in the top-right corner of the preview. This shows which platform the post is scheduled for.

  • You cannot change the destination platform

  • You can still choose whether to approve, edit, or reject the post

  • Rescheduling options are based on the time slots set by your admin


FAQs

Can I choose which business page to post to?

No. Business posts are pre-assigned to a specific platform and page by your admin.

Why did I only receive a post for Facebook and LinkedIn, and not Instagram?

Not all posts are suitable for every platform. For example, posts that contain links are not supported on Instagram. In these cases, your admin may choose to only assign the post to platforms like Facebook and LinkedIn.

You cannot add platforms yourself. If you believe a platform is missing or want to know more, please contact your admin directly for more information.


Can I change the scheduled time?

Yes. You can reschedule the post before approving it, as long as the time fits within your admin’s allowed date range.


Can I edit both text and image?

Yes, if editing is enabled. You can change the caption and upload a new image before approving the post.


Will my admin see my feedback?

Yes. When you reject a post and leave a comment, your admin will be notified and can use your input for future content.
