The Apostle app gives you the option to tailor suggested posts to better match your tone of voice or local context. You can edit the text or the media (image, video, PDF, or presentation), as long as your admin has enabled editing in your team setup.

Note: If you're unable to edit a post’s text or media, this means your admin has disabled editing. Please contact your admin if you'd like editing permissions to be enabled for your account.

Editing the post text

You can edit the text of any post before you publish it—unless your admin has disabled this option. This is especially useful for adding a personal message or adjusting the tone to match your audience.

How to edit the text of a post

  1. Open the Apostle app and go to your Inbox

  2. Tap the post you'd like to review

  3. Tap Edit post

  4. Adjust the text in the text field

  5. Tap Save to confirm your changes

  6. Post or schedule the content as usual

⚠️ Important: It’s not possible to add tags (e.g. @mentions) in your edited text. Tags added by your admin will still be included, but new ones cannot be added due to platform limitations.

Editing or replacing media

In some cases, you may want to adjust the visual part of your post. If allowed by your admin, you can upload your own media, such as an image, video, PDF, or presentation file.

How to edit or add media

  1. Open the Apostle app and go to your Inbox

  2. Tap the post you want to change

  3. Tap Edit post

  4. Tap Upload media

  5. Choose a file from your gallery or camera roll

  6. Tap Save to confirm your update

  7. Post or schedule as usual

⚠️ Important: You can only add or change media if:

  • The post has no image yet

  • The post was set up to let you select a custom image

It's not possible to change images in a post with a fixed grid layout or where editing is disabled.

💡 Tip: Not sure why editing isn’t working for you? Ask your admin whether text or media editing is enabled for your team.
