When promoting events or repurposing content, it’s often helpful to duplicate a previously scheduled or published post instead of starting from scratch. Apostle allows you to quickly create and edit a copy of any post.

💡 Tip: If you prefer working visually, you can also copy posts directly from the Content Calendar. Hover over a post and click the Copy icon to start duplicating.

How to duplicate and schedule a post

  1. Go to the Post overview in the left sidebar. You’ll see all your scheduled posts.

  2. Hover over the post you want to duplicate.

  3. Click the Copy icon.

  4. A draft copy appears at the top of the Drafts tab, which opens automatically after copying.

  5. Click the Edit icon to customize the post.

  6. The Composer opens, where you can adjust text, media, audiences, and more.

  7. Select your channels and schedule your timeframe.

  8. Click Plan this post to finalize scheduling.

Copy a post to another team

If you are the admin of multiple teams, you can duplicate posts across teams:

  1. Scroll to Copy post to other team.

  2. Activate the toggle to enable cross-team copying (disable anytime).

  3. When you click Copy on a post, a pop-up will allow you to select the team to copy to.

  4. After switching teams, find the copied post in the Drafts tab.

💡 Tip: If you manage Apostle accounts for different countries, you can easily copy a campaign post from your Dutch team to your German team and adjust the content before scheduling.
