You can disconnect Apostle from your connected social media accounts at any time. You can also review and adjust the permissions granted. Each platform has its own method for managing these settings. Follow the instructions below for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X.

⚠️ Important: If you disconnect your accounts from Apostle, any scheduled posts will not be published. You will also be unable to share new posts until you reconnect your account.

Disconnecting Facebook and Instagram

These steps apply only to business accounts. Facebook business pages are linked via personal accounts. Your personal data is not connected to Apostle and remains secure.

  1. Log in to your personal Facebook account. (Note: Make sure this is the account connected to your Facebook business page. You cannot make these changes from a business login)

  2. Click your profile picture in the top right corner.

  3. Select Settings and Privacy, then click Settings.

  4. From the left menu, click Business Integrations.

  5. Locate Apostle and choose one of the following:

    • Click View and edit to see or change Apostle's permissions.

    • Click Remove to fully disconnect Apostle from your account.

⚠️ Important: Use View and edit to review Apostle’s permissions for both your Facebook and Instagram pages. Always double-check these settings. Incorrect permissions may lead to publishing issues.

Note: Facebook and Instagram are connected. You can only revoke access through your Facebook account. When you remove Apostle from Facebook, it will also lose access to your connected Instagram account.

Disconnecting LinkedIn

Removing Apostle from your personal LinkedIn account will also disconnect your connected business pages.

  1. Log into LinkedIn with the same account used to connect Apostle.

  2. Click Me in the top menu and choose Settings & Privacy.

  3. In the left-hand menu, click Data privacy.

  4. Scroll down and select Permitted services.

  5. Find Apostle and click Remove.

Note: When you are ready to share a new post, you can easily reconnect your account. Business pages will always require manual reconnection.

Disconnecting X

  1. Log into X with the account connected to Apostle.

  2. Click More and choose Settings and privacy.

  3. Go to Security and account access.

  4. Select Apps and sessions then choose Connected apps.

  5. Locate ApostleSocial and select it.

  6. Click Revoke app permissions.

You have now successfully disconnected Apostle from X.
