Brand ambassadors connect their personal accounts the first time they share a post. Apostle supports two connection methods depending on the platform:

  • LinkedIn and X (Twitter) connect through a direct login

  • Facebook and Instagram use the native app to complete sharing

⚠️ Important: Personal accounts cannot be connected in the mobile app’s account settings. Connections happen only during the first share attempt.

💡 Tip: Personal and business accounts are handled separately. If you're looking to connect business pages, please consult this article.

Connecting LinkedIn and X (Twitter)

These platforms use a login-based connection during the first post.

  1. Schedule a post for your ambassadors

  2. Ambassadors open the Apostle app or email and select LinkedIn or X

  3. They are redirected to log in and grant permission

  4. After login, they return to Apostle

  5. The post is automatically shared

Note: Apostle does not access personal account content. The connection only enables sharing through the user’s own profile. Users can disconnect personal accounts at any time.

⚠️ Important: Connecting only needs to be done the first time an ambassador shares a post. In some cases, LinkedIn or X may require the user to reconnect for example, if the token expires or app permissions have changed.

Connecting Facebook and Instagram

These platforms do not require login-based connections. Sharing goes through the app installed on the user’s phone.

  1. Schedule a post for your ambassadors

  2. Ambassadors open the Apostle app and select Facebook or Instagram

  3. The app confirms the post text is copied automatically

  4. The native app opens with only the image

  5. Ambassadors paste the copied text into the caption field and share the post

⚠️ Important: Sharing to Facebook and Instagram is only possible via the mobile app, not by email.

💡 Tip: Make sure you have the Facebook and Instagram apps installed on your phone. If you're unsure how sharing works on each platform, check the full guide for step-by-step instructions.
