How does the WhatsApp integration work?

Team members receive a suggested message in WhatsApp, allowing them to post directly to their personal and/or company accounts. Furthermore, colleagues can upload content to your Inspiration Wall via WhatsApp, simplifying the process compared to the mobile app/email. It's faster, easier, and seamlessly integrates into a system your ambassadors are already familiar with. Visit our website for further details.

What's the reason for the additional charge for proposing posts via WhatsApp?

WhatsApp, owned by Meta, operates on a business revenue model. Meta charges a fee for each message sent and received via WhatsApp. We pass on this fee to our clients, which is determined by the volume of post suggestions, reminders, and uploads from your team in Apostle through WhatsApp.

Can I use my own WhatsApp business phone number?

Absolutely! We provide a whitelabel option, allowing you to utilize your own WhatsApp number complete with your branding and logo. Collaborating with our integration partner CM.com, we facilitate this process. There's a one-time cost of โ‚ฌ997 for setting up, creating, and linking the WhatsApp business phone number to Apostle.

How much time will it take for me and my ambassadors to set up WhatsApp?

Setting up the WhatsApp integration is quick and easy for admins. Our support team handles the activation for your team, and all you need to do is add your colleagues' phone numbers to the system. They'll receive a WhatsApp message automatically, prompting them to choose whether they want to post via WhatsApp and provide their approval there.

As for the ambassadors themselves, there's no action required. They'll automatically receive messages in WhatsApp and can decide at their convenience whether to participate. Additionally, they can adjust their settings to opt out of receiving messages via WhatsApp while still receiving them through the mobile app and email. New ambassadors simply provide their phone number when creating their account.

What's the best approach for handling brand ambassadors who prefer not to post via WhatsApp?

Brand ambassadors have the flexibility to choose their preferred method of receiving posting suggestions. You can continue using Apostle's mobile app and email, excluding WhatsApp suggestions as needed. This way, you only incur charges for brand ambassadors who have activated WhatsApp and opt to post via that platform.

How is WhatsApp billing managed?

During the integration setup, collaborate with our Customer Success Team to select the package that aligns with your organization's needs. Our packages, which are customizable, can be viewed here and adjusted in your Apostle admin dashboard under Integration Settings. The WhatsApp integration will be added as an extra feature to your existing invoice.

Should you decide to change your package later on, the new package fee will apply starting from the following month. Please note that package changes are limited to once per month.

What if I exceed my monthly limit?

Should you approach your monthly limit, Apostle will automatically alert you. You'll then have the option to either temporarily deactivate WhatsApp without switching to a higher package, or upgrade to a higher package immediately. If you choose the latter, the new package fee will apply on your next invoice.

Which WhatsApp actions incur charges? Within the WhatsApp integration, three actions are subject to charges:

  • Sending a suggested post.

  • Sending a reminder for a proposed post.

  • Uploaded content by one of your brand ambassadors.

Each message incurs individual charges. For instance, if you send one post to 20 ambassadors, the proposed post is individually sent to each of the 20 brand ambassadors by WhatsApp, resulting in charges for each message by Meta. The same principle applies to reminders and uploads from your team.

Can I also send reminders via WhatsApp?

Absolutely! You can send reminders for open posts via WhatsApp. Simply configure the number of reminders you wish to send in your Team Settings, and specify your preference for WhatsApp reminders in your Integration Settings. You can also opt to send reminders exclusively via WhatsApp if desired.

Can a brand ambassador unsubscribe from WhatsApp notifications?

Yes, team members have the option to unsubscribe from WhatsApp notifications through their Personal Settings in Apostle. Additionally, as an administrator, you can remove a team member's phone number to stop them from receiving WhatsApp notifications.

Does Meta store personal data?

No, WhatsApp does not store any personal data. Messages sent via WhatsApp are end-to-end encrypted, ensuring privacy and security for users.
