In Apostle, you can customize your team’s default posting behavior. You can set posting days and time ranges, choose default social platforms, and configure ambassador permissions. All of these settings are managed through the Team Settings section.

How to access Team Settings

  1. Log in to the Apostle web dashboard

  2. Click your Name in the top-right corner

  3. Click Team Settings from the dropdown menu

Set default posting times

Default posting times are designed to prevent your colleagues from receiving post notifications outside of working hours or during the weekend. This helps protect focus time and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

  1. In Team Settings, find the Default Post Timing section

  2. Choose the time range when ambassadors can receive scheduled posts (for example, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM)

  3. These settings apply only when selecting Multiple Days for a post

⚠️ Important: You can override the default posting times at any time. For example, if you select Now at 9:00 PM, the post is sent immediately, regardless of your time settings

💡 Tip: If you manage teams across multiple time zones, posts will automatically adjust to local time. For example, scheduling a post for 3:00 PM means each user will receive it at 3:00 PM in their own time zone

Adjust post timing preferences

Within Team Settings, you can manage several timing-related options

  • Allow Users To Edit Suggestions Before Posting: If this is turned off, ambassadors will not be able to edit the post before sharing it. This applies to both personal profiles and business pages

  • Exclude Saturdays And Sundays: Use this setting to skip weekends when scheduling content

Note: You can override this manually by creating a post for the weekend and choosing Now or Single Date. This setting only applies when a post is scheduled for longer than seven days

💡 Tip: Keep the editing setting on to help your team personalize their content and increase trust within their networks

Choose default selected platforms

  1. In Team Settings, go to the Default Selected Platforms section

  2. Select the social channels your team uses most often, such as Facebook and LinkedIn

  3. These platforms will be automatically selected when creating a new post in the composer

Note: You can still manually include or exclude any platform for individual posts
