Apostle works with a regular approval flow, which means that all posts need to be approved by either the business page owner or the brand ambassador. However, in some cases you might want someone to approve your posts before sending them to your team. That’s why we created the extra approval flow. Here’s how it works:

  • Go to Create Post and start creating your post.

  • Select your brand ambassadors and set your preferred time in step 3.

  • In Step 3, scroll down and switch the Assign approver before sending on.

  • Now select your extra approver. This needs to be someone with an Apostle account in your team, but does not have to be an admin.

  • Select Plan this post to schedule your post.

How does the extra approval flow work for the extra approver?

  • After scheduling your post your approver will receive an email with an approval request right away (also for posts scheduled in the future).

  • Click View post to start the reviewing process.

  • The approver is now able to Approve or Reject a post in Apostle.

  • If a post is approved directly, the post will be sent to the selected brand ambassadors (depending on your set time and date).

  • If a post is rejected, you will be notified by email. The post will not be sent to your brand ambassador team.

  • After rejection, you can edit the post in your Posts & Planning overview and reschedule if necessary.

The extra approval flow will not remove the regular approval process for business page owners and brand ambassadors. If the extra approver has approved the post, it will still be sent to your team for their own approval.

Warning: Adding an extra approval flow can slow the process of creating and sharing posts. Please make sure your extra approver is able to review your posts in time. If the expiration date of your posts is reached, the posts will not be sent to your team anymore.

Tip: The extra approver is able to add feedback as to why a certain post is rejected and create suggestions for your post. This allows the admin to revise and reschedule the post later.
