In some cases, you'll might want a colleague or subject expert to review your post before it goes live. You can assign an extra reviewer during the final step (step 3) of the post creation. This adds an additional approval layer before the post is suggested to your team and is helpful when you want sign-off from a subject matter expert, manager, or another colleague.
Note: The extra reviewer must have an Apostle account within your team.
How to assign an extra approver
Go to Create Post and start creating your post.
Select your channels and set your preferred time in step 3.
In Step 3 (Send), turn on the switch for Assign reviewer before sending.
Select a reviewer. This can be a regular user or an admin.
Click Plan this post to schedule your post.
Note: The post will not be suggested yet. The selected reviewer will first receive an email notification and see the approval request in their Inspiration Wall.
⚠️Important: Adding an extra reviewer can slow down the process of creating and sharing posts. Please make sure your extra reviewer is able to review your posts in time. If the expiration date of your posts is reached, the posts will not be sent to your team anymore.
What happens after assigning a reviewer
Once the post is scheduled with a reviewer, they will always receive an email notification with the suggested post (also for posts scheduled in the future). From there, they can open the post in their Inspiration Wall and either approve or reject it.
If the post is approved
The reviewer clicks Approve in the Inspiration Wall
The post will be sent to the selected team members at the scheduled time
No further action is needed
If the post is rejected
The reviewer clicks Reject (x)
They can leave a reason for rejection and optionally edit the post text
After clicking Save, the post is returned to you with their feedback
If edits were made, a new suggested variant appears in the composer, which you can review, adjust, and resubmit
⚠️ Important: If the extra approver does not approve the post, it will not be sent to the rest of your team.
Note: This extra reviewer step does not replace the normal approval flow of sharing a post suggestion. It simply adds a review layer before the post reaches other teammates.
