Sharing links is essential for content creators who want to direct their audience to external pages like blogs or websites. Apostle offers two ways to include links in your posts:

  • Link block (recommended for single-link posts)

  • Text link with separate image(s) (ideal for posts with multiple links)

Both methods have their own use cases and limitations. This article explains how to use each option effectively.

Sharing a link in a link block

Use this method if your post contains only one link. Link blocks ensure your link remains clickable on platforms like Facebook and LinkedIn.

  1. Go to Create Post

  2. Paste your link into the text field

  3. A link block is automatically generated with a meta title and description

  4. You may now remove the plain URL from the text, if preferred

Optional customization:

💡 Tips:

  • Use the link shortener (found in the Edit menu) to shorten the link and track clicks in Insights.

  • If you accidentally delete the link block by clicking the X icon, you can regenerate it by clicking the Link icon at the top of the composer.

⚠️ Warning: Editing the meta title or image only works for LinkedIn. Other platforms will show the original link preview regardless of your changes.

Sharing a link in the text with separate image(s)

Use this method when including multiple links or when you don’t want a link preview.

  1. Go to Create Post

  2. Paste your link into the text field

  3. A link block will be generated automatically

  4. Click the X icon on the link block to remove it

  5. The link remains in the text, and you can add more links if needed

  6. Add an image or video to complete your post

⚠️ Warning:

  • LinkedIn may remove the link if it's at the end of your post and there's no link block. Add a full stop and a space after the link to prevent this.

  • It’s not possible to edit meta titles or images for links without a link block. Also, images used without a link block will not be clickable.
