Sharing a post with a link helps direct your audience to external content or your own website. If the original metadata (image, title, or description) is not ideal, you can edit it directly in Apostle. This functionality is available for LinkedIn posts.

⚠️ Important: Metadata updates are supported for LinkedIn only. Other platforms will use the original metadata from the link, even if you change it in Apostle.

How to change metadata in a link block

  1. Go to Create Post in the left-hand menu

  2. Paste your URL in the text field

  3. A link block will be generated automatically

  4. Click the Edit icon next to the link to open the link editor

Editing title, description, and image

  • Change the Meta Title and Meta Description to customize how the link appears

  • To change the image:

    • Hover over the image

    • Click the Pencil icon

    • Select an image from your Media Library or upload a new file

  • Click Save to update your link block.

πŸ’‘ Tip: Use the Preview panel to verify your updated image and text before sharing.

Updating link blocks across variants

If you are using the same link block across multiple post variations:

  • Open the link editor

  • Click Save All to apply your metadata changes to every variation

This keeps your content consistent and saves time.
