The KPI Dashboard is one of the most important screens in Apostle. It shows the current status of your team’s performance, including all key information about your ambassadors, posts and results.
Understanding the KPI Dashboard
The dashboard displays a range of KPIs you can use to analyse your team data. All KPIs are shown based on the time period you have set at the top of the dashboard.
Here is what each KPI means:
Unique posts: Number of unique posts created.
Activity rate: Percentage of ambassadors that have shared a post.
Member shares: Number of posts shared on ambassadors’ personal channels.
Member share rate: Percentage of posts shared on personal channels relative to the number of suggestions. Can exceed 100% if a post was shared on multiple platforms.
Page shares: Number of posts shared on connected business channels.
Page share rate: Percentage of posts shared on business channels relative to the number of suggestions.
Total engagement: Total number of likes, comments, reposts and link clicks across both business and personal pages.
Total reach: Total reach of your connected business pages and ambassadors’ personal pages.
💡 Tip: Several KPIs include our own benchmarks. Use these to compare your performance against the average of all Apostle teams.
Earned Media Value
The Earned Media Value expresses in euros what the ROI of your efforts has been over the selected period. We compare the reach you achieve through our platform with what it would cost to purchase that reach through paid advertising.
Enter your CPM (Cost per mille) from your paid advertising campaigns on the right side of the dashboard.
The dashboard automatically calculates your Earned Media Value based on your CPM and total reach. The formula is: Total reach / 1000 x CPM.
💡 Tip: Not running any ads or unsure of your CPM? The LinkedIn benchmark of €35 is set as the default.
Engagement overview
The Engagement block gives you a detailed breakdown of all interactions on your shared posts, split by Members, Pages and Total.
Likes: Total number of likes received on shared posts.
Comments: Total number of comments on shared posts.
Reposts: Total number of times content was reshared.
Link clicks: Total number of clicks on links in shared posts.
Reach: Total reach across both members and pages.
Next to the overview block you will also find the Link clicks over time graph, which shows the development of link clicks per week.
Activity
The Activity block shows what percentage of your ambassadors actively shared a post in the selected period, split into Shared and Not shared. This gives you a quick overview of your team’s activity rate.
Reach over time
The Member reach and Business page reach graphs show reach over time, broken down by platform: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and X. This lets you see exactly which channels are generating reach and how this develops week by week.
Top ambassadors and Top pages
At the bottom of the dashboard you will find two leaderboards. Top ambassadors shows the ambassadors with the most reach or shares in the selected period. Top pages does the same for your connected business pages. Use the Most reach and Shares buttons to switch between the two views.
Customising and sharing the dashboard
The dashboard is fully customisable to suit your preferences. Use the Customize button to hide elements that are not relevant to your team. Not using business pages? Simply hide those elements. Use the filter to set your preferred time period.
You can also easily share the dashboard with colleagues or your management team. Use the share icon to generate an online link you can send directly.
Note: All admins automatically receive a monthly email overview of the most important KPI's from the dashboard on the first of each month.
Brand ambassador goal
In the dashboard you can set a target for how many ambassadors you want to activate in Apostle. The dashboard then shows what percentage of that goal you have already reached.
💡 Tip: Always set a concrete target for your team so you know where you are heading and can build a structured plan to get there. Need help growing your team? Contact our support team.
Follower goals and growth
In addition to ambassador goals, you can also track and monitor your follower counts. You can see how many followers you currently have and easily set a growth target. We report followers for all supported channels: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and X. The graph also shows follower growth over time.
Note: These follower counts apply to business pages only. Have multiple business pages connected? Use the filter to select the page of your choice.
