Measuring reach and engagement in Apostle

How to analyze reach and engagement across your team and posts

Written by Stefan Kapteijns

Apostle gives you two places to measure reach and engagement: Team Insights and Post Insights. Both offer a different perspective. Team Insights show you how individual brand ambassadors are performing, while Post Insights show you how your content is performing. This article walks you through both.

Analyzing Team Insights

Team Insights focus on your team's overall performance. Here you can measure the adoption and activity of your brand ambassadors, including the reach and engagement numbers their posts are generating.

Here's how to find the reach and engagement numbers:

  1. Open Team Insights.

  2. Scroll down to Member Overview.

  3. Click on the Engagement tab.

You'll now see an overview of all your brand ambassadors and their individual engagement and reach statistics. These numbers include all posts shared within the time period you selected at the top of the page.

πŸ’‘ Tip: Using business pages mainly? Scroll down to Pages Overview and repeat the steps above to get insights into the performance of all connected pages.

Using the drilldown

To get a closer look at a specific brand ambassador, click on their name. A pop-up will appear showing which posts they have shared and what the individual results per post have been. This applies to both reach and engagement.

⚠️ Important: Reach and engagement statistics for personal pages are only available for LinkedIn. For Meta and X, this data cannot be retrieved, so no figures will be shown for those platforms.

Analyzing Post Insights

Post Insights focus on measuring your post performance and determining which content has resonated most with your audience. You can use this information to identify which posts are working well and build on them in your content strategy. Posts with lower engagement can be reevaluated or adjusted.

Measuring total reach and engagement

  1. Open Post Insights and set your preferred date range at the top of the page.

  2. Scroll down to Engagement. This section shows the total reach and engagement numbers over the selected period.

Measuring reach and engagement per post

  1. Scroll down to Post Overview.

  2. Click on the Engagement tab.

You'll now see an overview of all posts suggested within your selected time period. You can sort the table by reach or engagement to quickly identify your best performing posts.

Using the drilldown

To see more detail on a specific post, click on the post name. A pop-up will open showing which brand ambassadors have shared the post and what the reach and engagement numbers are per brand ambassador. This gives you a detailed view of post performance at an individual level.

Note: If you have used multiple variants for a post, use the variant selector in the drilldown to compare performance across different versions.
