If you're an admin managing ambassadors in different time zones, it's important to know how Apostle handles post scheduling. The time you select when scheduling a post is always the reference point. From there, Apostle adjusts the timing for each user based on their personal time zone.
How timing works across time zones
When you schedule a post for 3:00 PM Amsterdam time, Apostle ensures each teammate sees the suggestion at 3:00 PM in their own time zone. Behind the scenes, the platform calculates this using each user's UTC offset.
This keeps post timing consistent across regions and avoids confusion.
Note: In the Post Overview, you’ll see the scheduled post time, followed by your own local time in brackets. This helps you as an admin understand exactly when the post will go live in your time zone.
How time zones are set
Every user’s time zone is set automatically when they create their account. Admins cannot edit this on their behalf.
If a user changes locations or needs to adjust their settings, they can do so any time in Personal Settings.
⚠️ Important: Users with incorrect time zone settings might receive post suggestions at the wrong time. It’s a good idea to double-check this, especially after travel or relocation.
How users can update their time zone
Go to Personal Settings
Search for Time Zone
Choose the correct time zone from the list
Click Save
💡 Tip: If a user is unsure which time zone to select, they can click Get Timezone From This Device to automatically apply the correct one based on their current location.
