In Apostle, you have the option to use our built-in link shortener or integrate your own Bitly account to streamline the tracking process. This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to set up your Bitly integration in Apostle for seamless link tracking.

Before you start, you will need an API access token to connect to Apostle. Please follow these steps:

  • Navigate to Bitly and login.

  • In the left menu, click the Settings icon.

  • First enter your password and now click Generate Token.

  • Copy the token.

You’re done in Bitly now. Let’s integrate with Apostle:

  • Navigate to Apostle and login.

  • In the right top, click your Name.

  • Select Team Settings and select Integrations (in the left menu).

  • Paste the copied Bitly Token into the token field for Bitly.

  • Click Save to save your settings.

  • Bitly is now integrated.

How to use the Bitly integration?

Now that you've completed the Bitly integration setup, it's time to put it to use and start automated link tracking.

  • Go to Create post.

  • Paste your unshortened link in the text field.

  • Click the Edit button and select Shorten links and track link clicks.

  • Click Save.

  • Your link is automatically shortened in a Bitly link.
