As the name suggests, email only users are members who can only review, edit and share posts via email.

Email only users can be useful when you want someone to share a post (one time or very infrequent) and it would not be beneficial for them to make an account. E.g. a partner or a client you want to suggest the post to, so they can easily share the post themselves.

Warning: Email only users cannot use our mobile app, they can only share via email.

Email only users can:

  • Reject the post.

  • Snooze the post.

  • Edit the text of the post.

  • Share the post.

Warning: Email only users can only share LinkedIn posts. Facebook and Instagram sharing is not supported via email sharing.

How to add email only users

  • Navigate to Members.

  • Click on the Email only users tab.

  • Click on the button + Add Email user.

  • Type the email addresses of the email only users you want to add, separated by a space.

  • Click on Add.

Important: Email only users do not get an invite mail to join the Apostle platform because they are not able to create an account. Make sure you inform the email only users that they are added to your team and that they are eligible to receive social media posts via email.

Good to know: An email only user will be counted as a normal user in your bill.

How to show email only users in the Insights (statistics)

Email only users are often people outside of your organization. Therefore email only users are not included in the Insights (statistics) by default.

In the Team Settings you can toggle Show email users in insights on or off. The Insights page will update automatically after clicking on Save team.
