Sometimes, when connecting your corporate accounts for Facebook or Instagram, the Edit settings option mysteriously disappears. Instead of seeing Edit settings and Continue, you only get Continue or Cancel.

Is there no way to select your business pages? No problem. This guide shows you how to reset the connection and get things working again.

Note: Not being able to select the pages you want mostly happens when reconnecting your business pages to Apostle.

In this situation, it’s not possible to choose which business pages you want to (re)connect to Apostle.

How to fix missing "Edit settings" on Meta pop-up

To resolve not being able to select business pages in the reconnecting process, we advise resetting the Meta business integrations settings and disconnecting Apostle from your Facebook account. This is how you reset the integration:

  1. First, click Learn more about this sharing and the settings that you have.

  2. In the popup that opens, click on Business Integrations in the text. This will open your Facebook settings in a new tab.

  3. In your business integrations, find Apostle and click Remove.

  4. Confirm by clicking Remove again in the confirmation popup.

  5. After removing Apostle, go back to Apostle and follow the normal steps to reconnect your corporate accounts. This time, Facebook should show Edit settings and let you choose the right accounts.

💡 Tip: Removing Apostle doesn’t delete your scheduled content. When you reconnect your business pages, any planned posts will still go out as scheduled.

Note: Any posts that should have been posted in the past week will also be automatically published. Posts older than one week won’t be shared, to avoid flooding your feed with outdated or backlogged content.

FAQs

What happens to my scheduled posts if I disconnect Apostle?

No worries, your scheduled posts will still be published once you reconnect. Nothing gets lost. Posts that are older than 1 week will not be automatically shared and have to be manually reshared.

Why can’t I see the "Edit settings" option?

It’s a Meta glitch that happens sometimes when you’re reconnecting one or more business pages. Resetting the business integration solves it.
