This guide outlines the simple steps to enable and use Single Sign-On (SSO) via Azure.

🔐 What is SSO?

Single Sign-On (SSO) enables users to access Apostle Social using their existing corporate credentials. This reduces password fatigue and enhances account security by centralizing user authentication through your organization's identity provider.

Please note: SSO is available on the Performance-Driven plan. Please contact our support team if you're unsure about your plan or need help activating this feature.

💡 Why Use SSO?

  • Simplified Login: One password across all systems.

  • Enhanced Security: Leverage your existing multi-factor authentication (MFA) policies.

  • Centralized Access Control: Manage employee access in one place.

  • Improved User Experience: No need to remember separate passwords.

🛠️ Setting Up Azure SSO

Step 1: Contact Apostle Support

Send a message to our support team with:

  • A request to enable SSO for your organization.

  • The email domain(s) you'd like to use with SSO (e.g. @company.com).

We’ll enable SSO and notify you once it’s ready.

Step 2: Prepare Your Azure Environment

Before proceeding:

  • Ensure access to your organization’s Azure Active Directory.

  • Verify you have permissions to create Enterprise Applications in Azure.

Step 3: Log In Using SSO

Once SSO is enabled in your Apostle team:

  1. Click on Log in with SSO.

  2. Enter your work email address.

  3. You’ll be redirected to your organization's Microsoft login page.

  4. Consent to the requested permissions.

  5. You’re in! Your SSO integration is now active.

👥 Managing User Access and Permissions

User access to the Apostle SSO application can be managed directly within your Azure environment:

  • Go to Microsoft Entra ID > Enterprise Applications > Apostle SSO.

  • From there, you can assign or remove users and groups, and control access permissions.

This ensures that only authorized users can log in via SSO.
